I LOVE what I do.
Seriously. I’m that crazy person that will chase down a penny and make sure that everything balances perfectly and love every second of it. Reconciling bank statements is one of the most relaxing things I can think of.

Just picture it. I’ve just spent HOURS combing through 11 months of old back statements for a new client. There was an electronic import, but nothing was categorized. At the beginning nothing balanced and their budget was a MESS. But I did it. Their books looked BEAUTIFUL, my client was ecstatic, they had an amazing historical view of their business and knew that their taxes were going to be a breeze. Their budget gave them a clear view of which goals they were going to be able to hit (even sooner than they hoped) and what needed to be adjusted. We got off our Skype call and I raised my hands hands above my head and danced around like Rocky at the top of the steps in Philly.

I’m Kacy Drouin and I’ve been working in the accounting field for 20 years.
I’m a little bit of a left brain/right brain mashup. When I’m not working for clients, you might find me singing karaoke, out at a punk rock concert, teaching a west coast swing dance class, or in the car shuttling one of my kids somewhere.
Or binge watching the entire 7 seasons of The West Wing over the summer in an election year.
You might be starting to get that I’m a little passionate all the way around. I’m the same way when it comes to my work with my clients. I’m passionate about YOUR business, taking my role on your team very seriously – It is important to me that I help you use the information gained from working with me in order to grow your business. I really don’t consider what I do to be an expense, but rather an investment for my clients.
I also like a good swear word. Just saying.
Remember at the top when I said I love what I do? Well, I bet you do, too. You’re good at it. You’ve got some clients and maybe a course or two. You’ve got your shit together and have started scaling up.
You have realized that you are able to do more of what you love and reach more people if you outsource some of the tasks that aren’t in your wheelhouse – graphic design, copywriting, web design, etc. Perhaps you’ve even hired a virtual assistant to help with your social media.
You might even have an accountant to help you with your taxes once a year. (And if so, Bravo! You’re so far ahead of so many other online business owners that are still doing their own taxes)

But your bookkeeping? Chances are you fall into one of 3 categories:
* Bookkeeping is a once a year job at tax time when you comb your bank statements and receipts and do your best to categorize everything or hand it off to a tax preparer.
* You do your books yourself in some kind of program because it’s only a few minutes here or there. The day-to-day stuff, however, really starts to add up. Or maybe you miss a few days… or weeks… or months of categorizing your expenses and then have to do a massive cram session right before tax time.
* You are awesome at keeping your books up to date – you might even have a bookkeeper! You already know exactly where your money went… so why bother talking to someone like me?
